Peppermint Sugar Scrub
Peppermint Sugar Scrub makes a great gift for lots of people on your list. The best part about it is that it can be made in large batches and put into jars for gift giving. You could buy sugar scrub already made as well, but it is much cheaper to make this way than to go out and purchase it. And your skin is left silky smooth in the process, so what do you have to loose?
INGREDIENTS
2 cup Sugar
1/4 cup Coconut Oil
Red Food Coloring
Peppermint Essentials Oil (found near Candle Making Supplies at Hobby Lobby or Online)
DIRECTIONS are easy to follow and you could even implement the kids into the gift making process if you wish. I would let an adult do the food coloring though. You could even make it in bulk by doubling or tripling the recipe, changing the smell to spearmint, or any other essential oil you have on hand. The possibilities are endless!!
Pour sugar into medium sized bowl.
Mix in coconut oil (add more if you like a wet consistency).
Add a few drops of your Peppermint Essentials Oil.
Divide your sugar mixture into two equal sized portions.
Mix in a few drops of red food coloring to one portion (be careful not to add to much or you will have a bright red).
Add your sugars to the jar in layers. Press your Sugar down with a spoon or I use a can to compact.
Alternate between your pink and white layers
Add a Label to the front and maybe a ribbon to gift.
Print out these gorgeous labels to make your gift even more personalized. Give this awesome homemade gift to teachers, friends, family and anyone on your gift giving list. It will be a gift from the heart because it is homemade and I promise the recipients will love your latest creations.
