Personality tests are a lot of fun! They can unearth things you might’ve thought about yourself or shine a light on strengths you didn’t know you had. Myers-Briggs
You might see people with four letters in their bios on social media, such as INTJ.
The quiz doesn’t take long, around 15 minutes for the short ones. Since it is so fast, it makes it easy to complete and answer in minutes. It looks at your personality traits and covers how extroverted you are, intuition, sensing, thinking, feeling, and judgment. This one is interesting because it looks at how you respond to things rather than a pure personality test. It can be exciting to see where you fit on the scale – take this personality assessment and you might not realize that you are a questioner or perhaps you’re more phlegmatic and easygoing.
You may fall into four tendencies: Questioner, Obliger, Upholder, or Rebel.
By understanding your tendencies, you can actively make smarter decisions and might even become less stressed when you understand the motivation behind your choices.
You can also give yourself a moment before making decisions to see if your tendency is in the driver’s seat – and perhaps you should be looking at a different option.
The Big 5
The Big Five is a more traditional personality test and is one of the only ones recognized by psychologists. The test looks at how people differ, specifically the percentage of which you think/feel something.
The five factors are agreeableness, neuroticism, extraversion, openness to experience, and conscientiousness.
The agreeableness attribute can be difficult to determine independently, which is an issue with this exam. You may perceive yourself as more or less likable, depending on your level of confidence.
The Enneagram Test
This personality test has been around since the 1960s but has in recent times become more popular. The Enneagram personality types can helpfully direct you to a career that suits you and away from ones that don’t.
There are nine types, but you may have other dominant and less dominant types. Along with your personality type, you will get wings, and the wings will give you another dominant trait.
So you might find out you are a reformer with a strong loyalist trait. Or you may be a challenger with a strong achiever trait.
