Philly Cheesesteak Subs

Philly Cheesesteak Subs

In the summer time we try to cook lighter and of course try to keep from heating the entire house up while cooking. These Philly Cheesesteak Subs are the perfect answer to that. But I do have to admit one of my favorite ways to enjoy them is by the poolside! They are easy to make ahead in a crockpot or on the stove top depending on what you need/want to do. We always cook our peppers and onions separated like you see in the picture below because I’m not a pepper fan. However, you can mix them together to make the more traditional Philly Cheesesteak Subs. If you don’t want to heat up your own kitchen I suggest grabbing a sub sandwich from Larry’s Giant Subs. I promise either way you go, you won’t be disappointed.

Philly Cheesesteak Subs

Ingredients:

One package of tenderized beef
One can beef broth
One large onion
One Green pepper
Garlic powder
Salt/Pepper
Onion Powder
Rolls
Pepperjack Cheese Slices

Place your beef in the pan and pour your beef broth on top of it. Use garlic powder as well as onion powder to season the mixture. Then add in salt and pepper and cook until your meat is tender. Then add in your onions and peppers and cook those until tender. Then assemble sandwiches and carry to the poolside to enjoy!!

While I am sure that someones recipe is much more in depth, if it is one thing I’ve learned, it is to keep things simple! A lot of my own household cooking is done by what tastes right or looks right and not so much by the actual recipe itself. But Nana always measured that way, so I learned to do the same.

Philly Cheesesteak Subs

Enjoy this easy to make recipe and have Philly Cheesesteak Subs at your next party, or a weeknight meal. I promise you will be glad you did.

What is your favorite sandwich?

This looks good and the ones I have been buying at the store are getting expensive. About how long do you cook the meat until it gets tender?
