You can find this amazing water park on the uppermost fringes of Nassau. Family-friendly and very accessible, Paradise Island comes with plenty of winding water slides and pools to splash around in.
Those looking for something a bit more heart-racing can take on The Leap of Faith. This excellent ride will shoot passengers through a fictional Aztec temple. You can also take on The Abyss, which shoots riders 15 meters into a darkened hole prior to hitting the water.
4. Lucayan National Park
On the southern coast of Grand Bahama, this National Park features a fantastic array of beaches and mangrove swamps. With boardwalks and pine forests dotted around, this is the perfect place for those looking to see wildlife.
Deep into the middle of the island, you can find some amazing underwater cave systems that are said to be some of the longest on the planet. The caverns also give you a glimpse into many of the creatures of the jungle, and let you learn about the ecosystems upholding them.
5. Port Lucaya Marketplace
Port Lucaya stands tall on the edge of Freeport in Grand Bahama. It’s classically painted colors make it hard to miss.
Shoppers looking for some great gifts can make their way through the Central Plaza, where there are more than 40 boutiques selling a range of local crafts and art.
There is also the endless amount of cafés and vendors to choose from. After dark, you can participate in some of the amazing nightlife and DJ shows available.
6. Cable Beach
Cable Beach is on the most developed beaches in the Caribbean. You can find it on the northern side of Nassau’s coastline, and it is accessed from the capital and the nearby international airport.
Across the beach you’ll find plenty of golf resorts, casino halls, and luxury hotels.
Take to the streets and there’s everything from country pubs to sushi restaurants at your disposal. Not to mention at the beach itself is very beautiful and comes complete with an ivory white color and gorgeous glistening waters.
7. Eleuthera Island
Move away from the spotlight and you’ll find one of the best natural jewels in the Bahamas courtesy of Eleuthera Island. With more than 100 miles of real estate, there are plenty of coastal areas to take a look at.
As well as having a lot of natural beauty to marvel at, the beach is a fantastic draw for those looking to hit the surf. Those with a thing for horse riding can check out Whiteland and Rock Sound.
8. Tiki Bikini Hut
Super welcoming and also very chilled out, Tiki Bikini Hut is a wonderful little spot to hit. The sound of American samba and classic steel drums will bring joy to your ears. The quaint little menu also offers plenty of interesting beverages to try out.
You can expect cocktails crafted from passion fruit and mango, classic pina coladas or even the chance for an unlimited drinking experience for just $30. If you’re feeling peckish, there are a range of hot dogs and conch fritters to tryout, all served to timber-washed tables.
9. Castaway Cay
Although you won’t be able to set foot in Disney’s Castaway Cay unless you’re on one of their massive family cruise liners, it is still an experience to behold if you are able to.
Disney actually owns all 1000 acres of Castaway Cay, which was originally leased to them by the Bahamian government. Because of this, Castaway Cay is a remarkable destination that doesn’t let down – it is built to look and feel like a shipwrecked island!

10. Arawak Kay
