Roaming Photography

It really is no surprise to most of you that I travel almost monthly. I’ve been in lots of great places, seen some amazing things and captured some amazing memories. But memories aren’t always easily shared that is why no matter what I’m doing my camera and camera bag of gear is always with me. One of my all-time favorite trips was when I went to Louisiana and just unconnected from the world and walked around aimlessly capturing photos of my day. I didn’t plan a certain area, I just went where my feet took me, but it wasn’t long I figured out my ears were really following the music.

That day I went from the Farmers Market, to the French Quarter, to Bourbon Street and back again while snapping, watching and listening. It was truly one of my all-time favorite locations to visit and can’t wait to go back. But that is a story for another time today we are going to talk about capturing the perfect shot. I didn’t have a tripod with me, if I saw it, loved it, I took a photo. Simple as that. It helped me grab some amazing shots of buildings, random finds and so much more. Here are my three favorite shots.

Olympus Takes you There

What I love about Roaming Photography is that you never know what you are going to happen across. There is no real purpose in your day, hour or whatever time you have allotted. I challenge each and every one of you have to have Roaming Photography Day and just capture the day not the perfect shot. That is exactly how I got the photo you see below. After looking at it more closely, it could have been squared a little more. But I feel like I’m there when I look at the picture and that is what it is all about.

Olympus Takes You There

After working with Olympus®, I am strongly considering ordering the OM-D E-M5 from Olympus® because they have some great features that my other cameras don’t have. Like the built in Wi-Fi, I would be in photo heaven. The other most impressive feature to me is the 81 Point Selectable Focus, which would make for some gorgeous pictures. And since Olympus® has a free travel offer promotion called the ““Travel Light with a Free Flight” why wouldn’t I use this time to upgrade?? Take a walk out in your neighborhood to capture the beauty of why you fell in love with the location. I promise the most unplanned shoots are often times your favorites.

I want a new camera so bad. My old one just isn’t enough for what I want to do.

Wow do you ever take beautiful clear photos…and wonderful subjects

I would love to get a new camera for Christmas! Or even just a new lens! (Can someone call and hint to my hubby?) LOL
