The Roosevelt Hotel Hollywood, CA

Disclosure:  I  attended the #‎DisneyPlanesPremiere‬ and ‪#‎LittleMermaidEvent‬. My flight, lodging and expenses were all covered by Disney. However,  all opinions are my own.

Roosevelt 2

The Roosevelt Hotel Hollywood, CA was my home away from home during my Los Angeles trip back in August. When I checked in the staff was friendly, and they “upgraded” me to a suite. The hotel is right on the Hollywood Star’s Walk of Fame and it is the place to be while staying in Hollywood. Lots of famous people stay there currently and have stayed there in the past like Marilyn Monroe. She had a favorite room, had a photo shoot by the pool and so much more!! The hotel is definitely rich in history and gorgeous once you get inside.

The picture above shoes you my room and I was very comfortable during my stay. The staff kept the refrigerator full of goodies, I had wifi, a safe for my valuables and a large spacious room. The bed was super comfy as well, which is always nice to have when you are on a trip. I even had a shower and a bathtub in my room along with a plush robe to wear. The only “complaint” I had was the light from the Roosevelt Sign right outside my window, but it was fine once I got to sleep. And since I was in LA, it was all just part of the experience. I had a fabulous stay and there were no complaints on my end of things, it was a great hotel to stay at!

Roosevelt 1

Because the Roosevelt Hotel is located on Hollywood BL I had to get a picture of that. The bottom right shows the “view” outside my hotel room in the early morning hours. It was the only time there wasn’t lots of people around and I of course had to go for a walk at 5 am to check it out. I wasn’t out long though because Starbucks doesn’t open until 6 am and a security guard advised me to go back inside. The fountain in the bottom left is simply beautiful. The lobby even had a bar in it so it was always the center of the hustle and bustle.

The hotel is just a few blocks away from the famous In and Out Burger restaurant and we did enjoy a burger from there the night after the premiere. I enjoyed it, but it wasn’t my favorite burger of all time, however the lines around the block waiting to get into parking lot told me that lots of people enjoyed them. We walked back to the hotel and enjoyed a Marilyn Monroe film at the Tropicana Bar sitting poolside. What more could a girl want?

Some of the great Features of the Roosevelt Hotel Include:

  • Junior Olympic sized pool
  • Outdoor massage garden
  • Concierge services
  • Access to ZipCars parked in the Hollywood Roosevelt parking lot.
  • Laptop computers available
  • Valet parking ($33)
  • 24-hour in-room dining
  • 24-hour fitness center
  • WiFi access ($15/per day)
  • Daily delivery of domestic newspapers
  • Located on the Hollywood Walk of Fame
  • Walking distance to shopping, dining, nightlife, theater, and sightseeing
  • 14 miles from LAX Airport, 8 miles from Burbank Airport
  • Pet Friendly

yummy

This was the best breakfast I had while there. It was an omelet of sorts (I lost the picture with the name of it) with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and asparagus in it. It was a fantastic way to start my morning and it was delivered to the comfort of my own room. Just remember to order in plenty of time to eat it, because I had forgotten to order and didn’t have much time to eat. But I managed to get it all done and not be late for any meetings.

While I didn’t experience anything unusual about the hotel, it is supposed to be “haunted”. However, I didn’t have much time to go exploring either, so maybe one of these days I will be able to go back and investigate a little more. Maybe during your visit you will see something unusual but on thing is guaranteed, you will have a great stay at the Roosevelt Hotel in Hollywood, CA!
