Root Beer Float Day

Root Beer Float Day is celebrated each year on August 6th! This has to be one of my all time favorite summer time treats, but today you can get a root beer float FREE!! Yes, I said free! Head to your local A&W Rootbeer during the hours of 2 pm and midnight! They are also collecting donations to help the Wounded Warriors as well, so I’m thinking this is the perfect time for a small donation!! Grab the family and head to your local A&W Root Beer to celebrate this food holiday!!

While I know there are lots of variations of floats I have to admit that a Root Beer Float has to be my favorite. However, Brady likes an orange float occasionally. I do miss the old drive in A&W Stores, maybe one day they will make a comeback. A few years ago we happened upon one in Wyoming and I swear the food and the root beer both tasted more like I remembered as a kid. Maybe it was the nostalgia talking, or maybe it really is better? One may never know, but I do know it’s time for a road trip again to see if we can re-find the hidden treasure!
