How to Keep Your Sanity with Back to school Season
It’s hard to believe that back to school season is here already. The kids are trying to adjust to their new schedules and as parents we are usually just trying to stay afloat. It’s amazing how much harder back to school can be on mom than on kids, but take it from me, it’s equally tough just in different ways. So while I’m over here enjoying my Empty Nest, I’m busy coming up with ways to help YOU out! Moms and Dads, these tips are for you. Learn how to keep your sanity with Back to school Season and have a little fun too!
Get up with the kids- Just as much as your kids need a routine, so do you! It’s super important that your kids get into a routine, but it’s also important that you do too. In fact, I always woke up before Elizabeth did, just so I could stay ahead of the game.
Keep the schedule simple – Don’t kill yourself and the kids trying to get from point A to point B. This year—try to keep things super simple. Let your kids choose what they want to be involved in, but don’t overdo it. There is something to be said about a simple schedule! We had a rule that it was two activities at a time especially if it was sports and the like. Invest in things like the Jetson Scooter to help you out, trust me you will thank me later (but more below!)
Take time for yourself – When the going gets tough, the tough take a break. Don’t burn yourself out trying to keep everyone happy this school year, it just won’t happen. A piece of truth that I stick by is to always take time for yourself. Taking time for yourself will help you be a better mom, wife, parent, and person.
Spend quality time together – I think it’s so easy to forget that you’re a family when things get super busy. Set aside a night to have a family get together. Dinner, pizza, or a movie, whatever you choose, it’s about spending time together as a family. But also don’t forget that the Jetson Quest will allow you to send kids off in style without breaking the bank.
A little about the Jetson Quest Electric Scooter
Beat the traffic with this Jetson Quest Electric Scooter. The 250W hub motor lets you travel up to 18 miles at 15mph, while the bright LED headlight and deck lights support nighttime travel. Use the easy-fold system to conveniently stow away this Jetson Quest electric scooter in your car’s trunk or underneath a desk. This is the perfect solution for college students and of course high schoolers, but I’m sure there are some middle schoolers that would love to rock the Jetson Quest Electric Scooter!
