Schlitterbahn Kansas City

If you are looking for a fun day out Schlitterbahn in Kansas City is the place to go. From Raging Rapids, Lazy Rivers, Boogie Bahn and everything in between Schlitterbahn Kansas City is the coolest destination for your summer fun. I was lucky enough to get to visit this amazing destination with our daughter Elizabeth as well as my best friend Amanda and her three kids. From the minute we started our adventure till we arrived back home we laughed, floated, swam and ate like there was no tomorrow.
However, it didn’t cost us an arm and a leg to keep our kids entertained because they allow outside coolers to be brought into the park. How cool is that? That was one of the best things I have ever had the pleasure of doing! As you can see in the picture above you do a lot of floating in the rivers and there were several people there as well. But everyone we came into contact with was very friendly and helpful if you had trouble.
Each beach had picnic areas as well as lounge chairs so you were always comfy! As well as umbrellas so you were in the shade a little as well. The new Verruckt was open as well and it is the World’s tallest water slide!! We didn’t get the chance to ride it, but I’m going back to do just that!!
The attractions include the King Kaw Rapid River which is the Longest Tube Chute in the Midwest, Mighty MO (my personal favorite), Boogie Bay, Kristal River, Blitz Falls, Raging River, Henry’s Hideout, Kinder Haven, Bhnzai Pipeline, Black Knight, Wolf Park, Torrent River and Torrent Cove. There was even a sand volleyball pit and a Soaring Eagle Zip Ride that is available for an additional free!!
We had an excellent time at Schlitterbahn KC and can’t wait to go back! However, you are tired at the end of the day, but it is a relaxing day just the same!!
Remember here are some of the “perks” of going to Schlitterbahn KC!!
- FREE parking — That is a HUGE money saver in and of itself!
- FREE tubes (we loved spending the day tubing)
- FREE lifejackets (great for smaller kids or even a safety precaution!)
- Schlitterbahn is the one waterpark where families are welcome to bring in their own ice chest of food and drink (no glass or alcohol). Talk about a HUGE money saver because we all know how expensive it is to eat in an amusement/water park!
