Scrat and Diego Soaps

Ice Age Collision Course is coming to DVD on October 11th and my family and I can’t wait!! We will get to enjoy our favorite Ice Age heroes back on the screen with an all new adventure. Scrat’s epic pursuit of the elusive acorn accidentally triggers cosmic events that threaten the ICE AGE world. Now Buck, Manny, Ellie, Sid, Diego and the rest of the herd must work together on a hilarious journey filled with nonstop action and colorful new characters in order to survive the global Scrat-tastrophe! Make these Scrat and Diego Soaps to help your kids want to wash their hands. Because kids everywhere love Scrat and Diego. 

Scrat and Diego Soaps

Materials-
Scrat and Diego toys
Glycerin soap block
Glass measuring cup with handle
Knife
Cutting board
Any rectangle/square/oval soap mold
Soap scent or essential oils
Wooden spoon
Small sauce pot

Scrat and Diego Soaps

Directions-
1. Cut your large glycerin soap into about 5 ice cube sized pieces

2. Place your soap pieces into a clear glass measuring cup

3. Place your measuring cup into a small pot of boiling water on the stove
4. Let your water boil around your measuring cup until the glycerin soap is melted (about 5 minutes)

5. Add in about 3 drops of your essential oil (I choose Lavender) and stir with wooden spoon

6. Spray your toys and the mold with rubbing alcohol and place your toys upside down in your mold

Scrat Deigo Soaps

7. Using a pot holder, carefully grab your measuring cup by the handle, pour your melted soap over your toy, and spray the top with rubbing alcohol to prevent air bubbles
8. Let cool at room temperature for 10 minutes then transfer to the freezer for the last 10 minutes
9. Carefully stretch the sides of your mold and press up on the bottom to remove your Scrat and Diego soap
10. The kids are now going to love washing their hands!
