Snowmen Treats
When Liz was little I was never the “Pinterest” Mom, the one that comes up with adorable treats for the whole class and looks perfect while doing so. In fact most of the time cupcakes were store bought and no one seemed to be any the wiser. But as the empty nest sets in I find myself with a little more time to do “Pinterest” Mom things, ironic right?? While I’m positive that I won’t ever be the perfect Pinterest Mom or even a perfect Mom, what is most important in the memories you build with your kids as they are growing up. Take the time to enjoy them while they are younger, try to be the “perfect” mom in the moment and don’t get so caught up with all of the to do’s that you forget to live in the moment. So without further adieu I give you these fun Snowmen Treats.
Once mixture is firm shape into 3 different sized balls. One the size of a baseball, one the size of a golf ball, and one in between the two.
Melt candy melts in a microwave safe dish for 60-90 seconds on 50 percent power, stirring every 15 seconds until completely melted. Add to a zip top baggie or piping bag.
Using the toothpicks assemble the snowman with the largest ball on the bottom and the smallest ball on the top.
Take an orange M&M for the nose and press it lightly into the face where you want the nose to be to create a small indent. Fix the nose to the face using a small dot of melted candy melts and hold in place for 5-10 seconds.
Add eyes, mouth, and buttons using black candy melts.
Peel one strip of Twizzler off, being careful not to tear it, and tie it loosely around the neck of your snowman.
