Stick Man
I received Stick Man in exchange for this post, however all opinions are 100% my own.
Stick Man is the perfect movie to watch with your family this holiday season. This movie was funny, heartwarming, and absolutely epic. I am very happy that I had the chance to review this movie.
Family Friendly
My son and I snuggled on the couch watching this movie. We’ve been having an unseasonably warm fall so far this year, so it was a great way to feel like Christmas is right around the corner. We laughed so hard at the adventures that Stick Man went through on his journey back home. It was definitely a movie that the whole family will enjoy, from adults to kids.
Inspires Imagination
My son loved the idea of the main character being a stick. The day after watching the movie, we needed to rake the leaves in our yard. Of course, Jayce found a stick in the middle of the leaf pile and started to act out the movie with his very own Stick Man. It was adorable! Any movie that gets my son’s imagination working is a good movie in my book.
Overall, I would definitely recommend buying this movie so that the whole family can enjoy.
The Heartwarming holiday Tale Stick Man Debuts on DVD November 8th!
Based on the Beloved Children’s Book Features the Voices of Martin Freeman (“The Hobbit,” “Sherlock”),
Hugh Bonneville (“Downton Abbey”), and Jennifer Saunders (“Absolutely Fabulous”)
Public Media Distribution, LLC announced today it is releasing “STICK MAN” on DVD November 8, 2016. From Magic Light Pictures, the makers of “The Gruffalo” and “Room on the Broom,” this beautifully animated adventure tells the tale of Stick Man and his epic adventure across the seasons in order to make it home to his family in time for Christmas. This film is based on the beloved children’s book written by Julia Donaldson and illustrated by Axel Scheffler.

As he tries to make his way back to his “Stick Lady Love and their stick children three,” things only get worse as he finds himself farther and farther from home. Alone and weary, Stick Man longs to be reunited with his family for Christmas. Will a chance encounter with Santa Claus be his ticket home?
Martin Freeman (“The Hobbit,” “Sherlock”) voices Stick Man, Hugh Bonneville (“Downton Abbey”) voices Santa, and the story is narrated by Jennifer Saunders (“Absolutely Fabulous”). Also helping bring Donaldson’s alluring and bouncy rhymes to life in this heartwarming family treasure are Rob Brydon (“The Huntsman: Winter’s War”), Sally Hawkins (“Paddington”) and Russell Tovey (“Being Human”).
In addition to featuring this charming tale, the DVD includes a behind the scenes documentary about the transformation of the delightful book into a captivating film. In this 20 minute video, viewers are treated to a look into how the design of the characters and environments came about, and the creation of the beautiful film score. The documentary also includes wonderful insights from Julia Donaldson, director Jeroen Jaspaert, composer Rene Aubry, and many others.
“STICK MAN” will be released on DVD November 8, 2016. The story has a run time of approximately 30 minutes. The DVD SRP is $12.99. “STICK MAN” will also be available for digital download.
