*First off I want to be clear that I am NOT offering any sort of medical advice, but offering a solution, or things to try if you are suffering from Tech Neck. This does not equal a medical diagnosis, and I strongly encourage you to seek medical treatment at your local Doctor’s office. I partnered with Neck Hammock to bring you this post, however, as always opinions are 100% my own.
Easy Tech Neck Exercises You Can Do Anywhere
I spend hours on my computer and have tech neck from all of it and am a not so proud member of the “tech neck generation””. But that doesn’t stop me from working on the computer, holding my cell phone or even reading on the iPad. But since realizing what was going on, I’ve been making myself take tech breaks to do “exercises”. So for example I set the timer on my phone for 50 minutes, I work hard during that time frame and at the sound of the timer I get up and take a stroll. I also take the time to do some shoulder rolls and neck rolls. But that isn’t all!
What is a Neck Hammock?
A Neck Hammock attaches to any door or railing and you position your neck on the floor on the back with your neck into the product. It allows the user to control the intensity of the stretch and their for helps relieve tech neck and TMJ compressions. The Neck Hammock uses Cervical Traction and the patented padding and design comfortably molds to the contour of the head.
The Neck Hammock has been a great help to ease my neck pain and something that I even pack in the suitcase when I have to travel for work. I’ve even been known to power nap while relaxing in the Neck Hammock, it is truly a life changer.
About The Neck Hammock Invention
The Neck Hammock was invented by Dr. Steve Sudell Jr. and it is an easy-to-use at-home portable device to combat neck discomfort using cervical traction. Neck Hammock minimizes pain by providing relaxation and relief.
A physical therapist, Sudell created the Neck Hammock as a solution for treating neck pain. While he found that strengthening and stretching exercises work, cervical traction provides the most relief to sufferers. At-home traction products are too expensive and too bulky to transport.
The Neck Hammock relieves neck pain for those experiencing arthritis, herniated and/or bulging discs, cervical muscle strains and spasms. It can also be used for tension headaches, poor sleep, stress, posture, difficulty relaxing and muscle pain.
