Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Halloween Costumes are back and these turtles are battling crime once again!! But for over 30 years the fabulous foursome of Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael and Donatello have been hero’s since the early 1980’s!! But let’s not forget Shredder the evil crime kingpin or April O’Neal as their favorite human. But no matter what you do these costumes are great to have and will be a hit for kids of all ages.
Bringing the comic book to life back in 1984 I can remember the Halloween costumes that were available back in the day. But I know that since they have hit the big screen kids everywhere will want their own Teenage Mutant Ninja Costume!!
I remember my brother being a turtle one year with the simplest of all costumes. A sweatshirt, sweatpants, both green of course with a piece of fabric around his eyes for the turtle of his choice. Neither of us remember which one he wanted to be, but it was a simple costume with my mom’s creativity.
Leonardo who is the leader of the group wears a blue mask and of course carries two long swords to help protect himself.
Red stands for Raphael and the bad boy attitude that goes with it. His weapon of choice is two sai which are pointed metal batons.
Orange is Michelangelo’s color and he is the youngest of the four turtles who loves pizza and of course nunchakus!
Purple masked Donatello prefers to use his mind to come up with unique ways to come out of a sticky situation. But he does carry a long bo for when he gets caught in a situation he can’t think his way out of.
Splinter costume’s can easily be obtained with a trip to the local costume store for a rat costume. But don’t forget his dark brown cloak and a walking stick to make your costume complete.
Human reporter April O’Neil is most readily identified by her yellow one-piece jumpsuit and wide, white belt. She is most often cast with a short and thick head of red hair.
