The BFG Premiere Experience
*I received an all expenses paid trip to LA to provide coverage of The BFG Event, however as always opinions are 100% my own. #TheBFG #TheBFGEvent #QueenofKatwe #FutureWorm
The premiere experience for The BFG was of course one of a kind from start to finish. When we arrived on Hollywood Boulevard I was in awe of the activities and the transformation of the surroundings. It didn’t take long to get our official badges, and start the journey down the Red Carpet. After making it through security we arrived on the Red Carpet in style. Quickly the fun began because the talent was starting to arrive. One of the best arrivals for me personally was with Mark Rylance got out of his car with his family, because I had been with him early that day during interviews, (more on that coming soon). It was a very surreal experience to say the least.
We continued on the Red Carpet pathway taking pictures, participating in photo opportunities and having an amazing time. I do think that my favorite was the Giant’s suitcase and dream jar as well as the dream tree. Because after all that is where all dreams is beginning, we then made our way across the street to the Hard Rock Cafe Hollywood where we enjoyed more photo opportunities as well as dinner and drinks at the Pre-Premiere Party. While we were there we got to chat with each other, celebrities and enjoy the surroundings.
After enjoying the Hard Rock Cafe along with drinks and food it was time to head over to the El Capitan theater for the premiere of The BFG. As we were walking through the people we saw several celebrities such as Mario Lopez, Jillian Michaels, Johnny Cochran, Christian Shaw, Jason Ritter and more. While I enjoyed watching them from the side lines I didn’t personally approach them for a picture, but one day I will be brave enough to do that.
Once inside the El Capitan Theater we grabbed a drink, a bucket of popcorn and quickly made it to our seats. While you wait for the movie to start Rob Richards was playing the organ and of course there were lots of Disney favorites. But at 7 pm the theater got dark and The BFG started, and it was magical. From start to finish, The BFG and Sophie learned that they truly needed one another and that friendship lasts forever. But I will give you more details about the movie soon so be sure to follow the hashtags #TheBFG and #TheBFGEvent to stay connected.
