Tune into The Catch on TGIT
On the last LA press trip I had the chance to screen a new episode of The Catch and interviewed Allan Heinberg and Sonya Walger. To say that I LOVED season 1 would be a huge understatement so I was excited to meet the great Margot as well as Allan. We screened an episode of Season 2 and let me tell you, You won’t believe what happens this season! I think that The Catch is a cross between Grey’s Anatomy and a soap opera like General Hospital with a little bit of mystery thrown in. This season there will be more twists and turns and more cat and mouse if you will. “The New Deal” – Con man Benjamin Jones has gone from committing the ultimate betrayal to performing the ultimate sacrifice, when he turned himself in to the FBI to save Alice from wrongful imprisonment. Now in jail, Ben is forced to reckon with his criminal past, while the team at Anderson Vaughan Investigations must come to terms with getting in bed with the bad guys. How will Alice and Ben game the system — and each other — to stay together and overcome their less- than-legal pasts?
About The Catch

T.R. Knight as Tommy Vaughan, Gina Torres as Justine Diaz, Lesley Nicol as Sybil Griffiths, Jackie Seiden as Gainda Mangels, Jake Green as Seth Hamilton, and Jacky Ido as Agent Jules Dao guest-star.
Here are my top 3 reasons to watch The Catch
- It is on TGIT, and keeps viewers expecting a new twist and turn each week.
- The show is brilliant and keeps your attention while building on the story lines from previous episodes, but yet it stands alone at the same time.
- Romance, Deception and Love….Who needs more than that???
Alice and Margot
Sonya did tell us that it is really fun because Alice and Margot discover they have perhaps more in common than they thought, and there’s a sort of begrudging mutual respect while still there’s a lot of wariness because, you know, because Margot is Margot, so you wanna be careful of that. But because of the therapy sessions in season 1 Margot had this moment of realizing they were both betrayed by the same guy.
Both Alice and Margot are both strong, empowered, intelligent women that can go toe-to-toe and they are going to have to work together and Sonya loves doing scenes with Mireille because they are always fun.
THE CATCH – “The Dining Hall” – Alice discovers some very hard truths about her brother Tommy and Val is forced to dig into her past in order to help with his case. Meanwhile, relationships are tested as Margot and the AVI team have to navigate their current realities, and Ben and Rhys’ latest con may turn out to be a little too risky, on “The Catch,” airing THURSDAY, MARCH 23 (10:00-11:00 p.m. EST), on The ABC Television Network.[/caption]
What’s The Catch?
Alice is trying to catch Ben is the original reference but it is more about love because you can’t have it all, there’s always gonna be a catch. The guy you fall in love with who turns out to be your soulmate, but it’s also the guy who stole all of your money and is a career criminal. So, in love, it’s never the whole fantasy. There’s always something pulling you back down to Earth and this kind of love is an escape from our daily lives according to Allan Heinberg.
The catch is that what real love is, less romantic and a lot harder to achieve. And so that’s the way we’ve been proceeding is, like, there’s always a catch with these relationships and, and, uh, how do you work it through?
