The Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime Experience
On March 4, 2016 Zootopia arrived in theaters everywhere and on March 5th my family and I went to AMC Barrywoods 24 to watch the film. I knew from the previews I had seen that Zootopia was going to be an adorable movie with a great story line. When we arrived at the AMC Barrywoods 24 it looked like the same theater that has always been there on the outside. But once we got inside, picked up our snacks, and headed into theater number 11 the Dolby Cinema Experience took over and it was nothing short of amazing.
When we walked into the theater area we were greeted by the friendly AMC staff passing out Judy Hopps and Nick Wild Headbands. Then we all stopped for a quick picture so we could show off our Zootopia headbands in style. Then we went to find our seats which is always fun, but the theater rows were marked and we easily found our seats and got settled into them. To say that the Dolby Cinema Experience was amazing is somewhat of an understatement. The reclining seats were beyond comfortable, roomy and even plush, easy to operate and allowed everyone to have their own personal space as well as a comfortable movie experience. There was even ample room for snacks which is always nice.
My absolute favorite feature about The Dolby Cinema at AMC Prime Experience is that it feels like you are in the theater by yourself. The chairs are all set up in such a way that you don’t get distracted by the people in front of you or even behind you allowing your family to have a perfect family night. The movie was shown on the big screen of course and it was the most powerful, vivid, crystal clear picture I have ever seen. Each scene came to life and the sound as well as movement of the recliners only made the movie experience that much better. It was like surround sound but only better because you were immersed into the movie like never before.
But after watching Zootopia I can say I can’t wait to see it again and am anxious to tell you all about it. We as parents raise our kids to the best of our abilities and try to instill in them that they can do or be anything they want to be. However, parenting along with life often times has bumps in the road and our paths change sometimes unexpectedly. But we keep moving to be the best person we can be.
In Zootopia Officer Judy Hopps is faced with bumps, road blocks and obstacles but uses them to her advantage to reach her dreams. Each and every person (or child) out there has the ability and potential to do what they want to do. They just have to try in order to do it and keep trying even when they fail. But I think that the most ironic part of the entire movie for me was that Officer Judy Hopps had to return home in order to pass a road block in her way. Sometimes it takes us going home to see that the solution is really in front of us the whole time and allows us to reach our potential. Zootopia is a must watch family friendly film that everyone in the family will enjoy.
Zootopia teaches kids that with a little hard work, dedication and a support system it allows you to be anything you want to be. And remember that just because someone appears to be one thing, doesn’t always mean they are what you think they are.
When you attend this special event you will get either a Judy or Nick headband which I know the kids will love.

Just saw Zootopia and loved it. But it wasn’t in a snazzy theater like you had.

These is nothing quite like watching a movie at a Dolby Cinema. We just took the kids yesterday to see Zootopia. It was great. Flash was my favorite character.
