Thomas The Train Themed Party
*I received some items from Oriental Trading in exchange for my honest opinion, however as always opinions are 100% my own.
My years of throwing birthday parties for little kids is over but I enjoy helping others throw them for their kids. We partnered with Oriental Trading to throw Mason a Minion Themed Birthday Party last August and it was a hit. But this year we knew that his love for Thomas was stronger than ever, so we had to throw a Thomas the Trained Themed Party this year.
Here is a peek into our Thomas The Train Themed Party!
One of the things that I love about Oriental Trading is that they have everything you need to throw themed parties at reasonable prices. We were able to pick up lots of goodies for the party including invitations that are all Thomas Themed of course. Tamira sent out the invitations about 3 weeks prior to the party and that was more than enough time for everyone to mark their calendars.
She then used the Railroad Track Table Runner as a train track for her taco bar and at the head of the table she had Thomas Themed Balloons.
The tables were covered in tablecloths, and in the center of the tables were these adorable Thomas The Train Characters including Thomas, Percy and James.
But I think my personal favorite was the train cupcake holder and of course Mason wanted cupcakes way before the party. Mason’s mom (Tamira) did a fantastic job decorating the ice cream cone cupcakes and Thomas Rings made the perfect toppper. But she didn’t stop there, she even made this cake. Isn’t she talented??
Next up came the decorations, when you throw a party I’ve learned the hard way that less is usually more. But every little boy needs a Thomas The Train Backdrop (and if you are careful, you can re-use it in their bedroom.) And of course lots and lots of balloons and Thomas The Train toys everywhere.
But I think that our favorite was the Thomas The Train Pinata and having ribbons to pull to see if it opens allows kids to have fun, and the chances of them being hurt are much slimmer. It turned out to the be an adorable third birthday party for Mason and all of the guests had a wonderful time. What is your favorite Thomas The Train idea that we featured?
