Vaping is a relatively new way to obtain the satisfaction of nicotine without all of the harmful chemicals that smoking a cigarette has. And, while the jury may still be out, the amount of evidence that shows the health benefits of vaping rather than smoking traditional cigarettes is mounting every day.

How Do Vaporizers Work?
Traditional cigarettes use combustion from a flame to ignite the tobacco, releasing the nicotine to your system as well as tar, smoke and harmful chemicals that can cause cancer, emphysema and other respiratory problems.
Vaporizers work by heating a liquid to the point where it turns into “vapor.” In turn, you inhale that vapor, which delivers the nicotine. The largest byproduct of vaping is harmless water vapor. A vaporizer gently heats the liquid to around 365ºF, which is not hot enough to release harmful chemicals.
The liquid, known as “e-liquid” contains nicotine and flavorings. You can choose a liquid that gives the taste of real tobacco, but you can also choose many different flavors to add variety to your vaping, including strawberry, cheesecake, chocolate and nearly any other flavor you can think of.
Also, when you vape, you do not take twenty or thirty pulls in a session, as you would with regular cigarettes. Instead, you take one or two drags every so often, whenever you want the nicotine.

Non-smokers often despise the smell of real cigarettes and will go to great length to avoid inhaling secondhand smoke, In fact, most states and many cities across the country now outlaw smoking in public places, so you are forced to go outside or into a little-ventilated room to smoke.
Vaping, on the other hand, is mostly legal in establishments. Sure, there are areas like planes and movie theaters where you cannot vape, but since the only byproduct of vaping is water vapor, most restaurants, bars and other businesses are vaping friendly. A pack of cigarettes can cost anywhere from six to 12 dollars, depending on which state you live in and which brand you smoke. If you smoke a pack a day, smoking can cost you upwards of $3,500 dollars per year!
Vaping is not only a safer alternative to smoking, it’s a better monetary option as well. You may pay upwards of $300 for a good vaporizer, but they are reusable until they break, and the liquid refills should only cost you around $40 per month. You don’t need to be a mathematician to see the instant savings you will have just from quitting cigarettes and moving to a vaporizer.
Of course, you can save even more if you find a cheaper vaporizer and only use it every so often. In fact, if you only take a couple of drags from it a day, one vial of e-liquid could last for over a month.
Some Concerns
Again, inhaling anything into your lungs is not healthy. Even with the information published so far, the effects of vaping have not been thoroughly studied and will not be for several more years.
The biggest concern you should have when vaping is to avoid liquids that use diacetyl. There have been several studies that show a link between this chemical and a condition known as popcorn lung. Fortunately, you can research the chemicals in your liquids before buying and just avoid buying liquids that use the chemical. If you aren’t sure, then look elsewhere to purchase your liquids.
