Walt Disney Line Up for 2017
Since about Fourth Grade Walt Disney himself was an inspiration to me. I grew up watching the “classics” and in Fourth Grade we had to do what was called a Missouri Notebook. In that Missouri Notebook we had to do reports on animals, towns, people and much more to learn about our state. One of my favorite people from Missouri of all time included Walt Disney. You see Walt Disney came to Marceline, Missouri when he was about 5 and that town was about an hour from my hometown. While my teacher Mrs. Wilson wouldn’t let me include him into my Missouri notebook, I remember thinking that one day I would work with Disney. Fast forward a lot of years, blood, sweat and tears I’m not an “official” Disney employee, but have had some incredible blogging experiences thanks to a few special people at Walt Disney.
I’ve been on several press trips and each one is just as special as the first one. I’ve gotten the chance to see the REAL Pinocchio in the Animation Research Library, attended Red Carpet events and been on set of some super cool television show sets. While not everyone is picked for every trip and each trip is as special as the prior one, one thing is for certain, I can finally say that I’ve attained a goal, that as a little girl I thought was only a dream. So remember to dream big even when you are told no because that no becomes a yes later down the road. Although it might just be 25+ years later, but if the small town girl from Hickory, Missouri can do it, you can too!

The film stars: Emma Watson as Belle; Dan Stevens as the Beast; Luke Evans as Gaston, the handsome, but shallow villager who woos Belle; Kevin Kline as Maurice, Belle’s father; Josh Gad as LeFou, Gaston’s long-suffering aide-de-camp; Ewan McGregor as Lumière, the candelabra; Stanley Tucci as Maestro Cadenza, the harpsichord; Audra McDonald as Madame de Garderobe, the wardrobe; Gugu Mbatha-Raw as Plumette, the feather duster; Hattie Morahan as the enchantress; and Nathan Mack as Chip, the teacup; with Ian McKellen as Cogsworth, the mantel clock; and Emma Thompson as the teapot, Mrs. Potts.
Directed by Bill Condon based on the 1991 animated film, “Beauty and the Beast,” the screenplay is written by Stephen Chbosky and Evan Spiliotopoulos and produced by Mandeville Films’ David Hoberman, p.g.a. and Todd Lieberman, p.g.a. with Jeffrey Silver, Thomas Schumacher and Don Hahn serving as executive producers. Alan Menken, who won two Academy Awards® (Best Original Score and Best Song) for the animated film, provides the score, which includes new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and Howard Ashman, as well as three new songs written by Menken and Tim Rice. “Beauty and the Beast” will be released in U.S. theaters on March 17, 2017.
