Practicing at school can only go so far, as they are only in the class for up to an hour every weekday. If your child is serious about music, it is a great idea to get them their own instruments.

Almost as important as the instrument itself are music books, which can be helpful in starting out. Many of them include lessons, notes, songs, and even DVDs of the proper way that songs should be played and ways to get better.
