Wine Cork Bats
Who is ready for Halloween? I am! My kiddo might be older, but we do not stop celebrating around here. I have to do some Halloween crafting every year and this is what I came up with this year. I think your family will enjoy doing these Wine Cork Bats just as much as we did.
I don’t think a craft has ever been so easy. I mean, I have been looking for things to do with my leftover wine corks and a friend mentioned using them in Halloween crafts. Completely genius in my opinion. Halloween is right around the corner, but that means these Wine Cork Bats are perfect. They don’t require much thought and just about anyone can do them.
Check out the simple directions below and let me know if you enjoyed this craft.
Wine Cork Bats
Supplies needed:
Wine cork
Black craft paint
Pair of googly eyes
White and black craft felt
Scissors
Hot glue, glue gun
paint brush
Directions:
1. Begin by applying two coats of paint to the wine cork. Two coats will provide even and thorough coverage. Let the cork dry thoroughly.
2. While the cork dries, you can create the face of the bat. Two white triangles are perfect for fangs!
3. Create the wings by cutting two jagged ovals out from the black felt. You can freehand these and shape them to your liking.
4. Once the paint is dry, glue the wings and fangs on as shown.
5. Finish the wine cork bats by adding on a pair of googly eyes.
They are now ready to be displayed!
How many Wine Cork Bats did you make? Will you hang them out for your Halloween guests to see? Ours are placed throughout the house and they look super cute!
