Winter to Go

Winter is a time for staying in and watching movies when the inclement weather strikes. One of our favorite things to do is to stock up on movies from Redbox and delicious Tyson® products to spend our “snow time” inside. This winter has really been pretty calm in comparison to years past, but we have been able to implement a “Winter to Go” routine over the years.

Because we live in a rural area, before any major winter storms, we head to our local Walmart to pick up a few needed supplies. I like to have enough things on hand to last us a couple days so we don’t have to get back out on the roads. We pick up lots of snacking foods including some of our favorite Jimmy Dean®, State Fair®, and Tyson® products because they are the perfect solution for a Winter Movie Marathon. I usually pick up a few bags to add to the collection of products we already have on hand because you know that when you are snowed in you like to snack.

We usually stop at Redbox on our way out the door of our local Walmart store to get a few DVDs to keep us busy through the storm. I love that there are Redbox kiosks everywhere, allowing us to easily return the DVDs once the storm is over and if we are “snowed” in, they’ll just charge our card for another rental night resulting in another movie night marathon for us. I love that I get to purchase brands that I already love and then I earn sweet rewards after the purchase.
