Today we’re going to talk about something that I made back in 2015! When our daughter Liz was growing up she would have to have roughly 25 Valentine’s Day cards each year for her classmates. Every year we would pick out the top trending cards at our local store one year was the Bratz Valentine’s Day cards, 1 year was Snoopy and so on. But each year of elementary school which would have been six years we did Valentine’s cards.

Why would I make valentines and not use them? Let’s not be ridiculous I’ve saved my sister’s sanity and gave her the cards. My niece Willow and Olivia both still need Valentine’s Day cards so they, of course, reap the rewards. When I made them I used the Cricut design space and it was as easy as 1 2 3! Today I’m going to walk you through the process so that you can make your own Valentine’s saving you time and of course money.
If you have a Cricut no problem, you can make them here or I even if you don’t have a machine, I will give you something you can download and print them out! But order the Cricut products, because it’s an amazing machine!
Get the You Knock My Socks Off Valentine an opening in design space and click make it then, follow the on-screen directions. Just remember to load the cardstock into your printer and change your Cricut Explore 2 machine to the cardstock settings for best results
Once you have them printed you will place them on to your mat then load them into your Cricut Machine and press the flashing Cricut light. Wait just a few minutes and remove your You Knock My Socks Off Valentine’s cards.
Then, simply peel away the excess as seen below. Then, set your card aside to repeat this process until you have enough cards for your child(ren) I did five times for my niece Olivia’s classroom and was done in under 30 minutes.
After you are done with the number you need to have your son or daughter or niece or nephew and write their names on the cards. Next, tape or staple the cards to the socks I suggest using a stapler is so that way it’ll keep the cards and pair of socks together. Because you don’t want anyone left out now we were able to score some clearance socks last February after the holiday and we save them so we were able to get socks for 10 or 15 cents a pair! Don’t want to do the whole class? Then, just do it for the teachers, they always love fun socks, take it from me!
Don’t have a Cricut Machine? Why not!!? Order one, I won’t tell your significant other! But while you wait for its delivery, you can use the picture below to print them out and cut them out with scissors.
