Yummy Strawberry Trifle Dessert

Yummy Strawberry Trifle Dessert

Yummy Strawberry Trifle Dessert in honor of May being national Strawberry Month! This month has been a blur from start to finish because we have been busy. And by busy I mean 4 school events, 2 Mother’s Day celebrations, Prom, a Graduation reception and of course Graduation plus anything that is “normal activities” thrown into the mix. So everything we have cooked, made or taken with us for the required side dishes had to be easy and taste delicious. Which is where the Yummy Strawberry Trifle Dessert comes into play. It has been our go to side dish for several activities this month and every time we brought home an empty trifle bowl.

This month I also kicked off my Strawberry Shortcake Ambassadorship and received a box of goodies from them and a few from DecoPac to help me make this Shortcake Donut Recipe. But when I was doing that the inspiration struck for the Yummy Strawberry Trifle Dessert and so I did both. It was super easy and ready to go quickly.

Ingredients:

12 cake donuts (I bought already made)

6 cups whipped cream

1 pound fresh strawberries (quartered)

1 bottle pink Premium Gel Color

4 tbsp sugar

4 oz cream cheese, softened at room temperature

Instructions:
Add 2 tbsp of sugar to the sliced strawberries and mix gently.

In a separate bowl, mix a further 2 tbsp of sugar into the softened cream cheese. Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture. Tint whipped cream pink for a Strawberry Shortcake Flare

Cut the donuts into bite sized and place them in a glass bowl.

Layer with the strawberries and cream cheese mixture.

Repeat layering until your trifle bowl is full.

Finish with a layer of the cream cheese, strawberries and donuts.

This is a lovely summer dessert that is perfect for carry-in dinners and so much more!

Wow is this amazing! and it makes you want to dive right in to all that pinky strawberry goodness. A kid’s delight for sure, and for big “kids,’ too!
