Fairy Garden Umbrellas

Fairy Garden Umbrellas

Fairy Garden Umbrellas are an easy craft to make to use in your Fairy Gardents. A few years ago my family and I enjoyed spending time together to make some fun fairy gardens with the kids. We have of course long since upgraded a little bit, but this year I decided to make a fun Umbrella for our next Fairy Garden. While the Umbrella is ready the rest of the fairy garden is not, but there is still lots of Spring and Summer left so I’m sure it will be ok. Making a Fairy Garden Umbrella is fun, easy and the possibilities are endless.

Fairies are magical and any kid young or old will enjoy dreaming up a magical place for a fairy to land. You may not be able to make all of their dreams come true, but you can create a fairy garden for your little princess or prince to play in by using their imaginations and a little bit of fairy magic.

Whether you choose to do a container fairy garden, around the base of a tree or even in the corner of the garden, no matter which you do the kids and adults will love them. Just show your kids that you believe that fairies do exist and your children will be in love with their fairy garden all summer long.

Just remember to add some rocks where the fairies can land to warm their wings and hole for swimming. Let the child in you dream with your daughter or son as you create a wonderful place for them to dream and use their imagination. This magical make-believe fairy garden can be a special place you’ll both want to visit as long as you both believe.

Fairy Garden Ideas

Supplies needed:
Paper straw
Silk flower
Hot glue, glue gun
Scissors

Fairy Garden Umbrella

Directions:
1. Begin by snipping the paper straw in half. You want it to be short and size appropriate for the fairy garden.
2. Remove the silk flower from the stem. Just snip it right off. You will only need the bloom for this portion of the craft and can discard the stems or save them for something else.
3. Add a generous amount of hot glue to the end of the straw. Press it into the center of the flower. Allow it to dry.
4. The fairy garden umbrella is now ready for your fairy garden and can be stuck directly into the soil or moss.
