Top Activities For All To Enjoy at Pixar Fest
Disneyland and California Adventure are both very magical places and somewhere I encourage each and everyone of you to visit at least once. The first time I visited the parks it was at Halloween time and it was amazing, but this time I visited during Pixar Fest. It was even more magical than my first visit and today we are going to talk about things you need to see, do and experience while you are visiting Disneyland/California Adventure during Pixar Fest.
Here are a few tips of things you MUST do when you are attending Pixar Fest.
Enjoy Pixar Themed Food
We all know I love food, especially sweets, but my friends at Pixar Fest have some amazing options. Our first stop was the Adorable Snowman Frosted Treats where we enjoyed the delicious Pixar Pier Frosty Parfait which is a non-dairy soft serve ice cream and blue-raspberry frozen beverage. But I opted for the lemon sorbet ice cream cone and it was equally delicious (I had a friend let me give her’s a taste.) But be prepared to wait in line for that new delicious treat especially if it is hot, but I promise it is worth the wait.
My personal favorite was the Pixar Fest Cake, but the Alien Macaroons were a close second. But don’t stop there, enjoy some Pixar Pier Frosty Parfait as well as the Grape Soda Cake Pop. It tastes just like grape soda which is strangely enough delicious. But don’t stop there, enjoy the ever so famous Dole Whips and enjoy a Pineapple Churro! The last two made the perfect snacks for watching the Fireworks at the end of the night, but I’ll tell you more about that later.
Fun Fact-Did you know that you can get water for free at any Disneyland or California Adventure Land? Plus you can skip the lines and ask for one, which helps you stay hydrated and cools you down just a little bit.
Pixar Pals
Allow some time to visit the Pixar Pals section and use the app to find out the times for character schedules so you can get your picture taken with some of the Pixar characters.
We were able to snap a picture with Buzz Lightyear and Woody as well as Coco, Dante and from Coco. Pixar Pals is in the Disney California Adventure park which is right next door to Disneyland and the Pixar Pier will be opening on June 23rd.
Pixar Play Parade
No one can pull off a parade quite like Disney and the Pixar Play Parade is a must see when you are visiting. Characters come to life with lots of songs, dancing, floats and lots of Disney Magic thrown in. Kids and Adults both join in the fun and watch as their favorite characters come to life. While the parade itself isn’t new, the location is in Disneyland and it goes right by Cinderella’s Castle which is the perfect viewing location.
TOGETHER FOREVER FIREWORKS – Debuting with Pixar Fest on April 13, 2018, “Together Forever – A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular” will celebrate Pixar stories through the decades as it lights up the sky over Disneyland Park. Along with dazzling pyrotechnics and memorable music, a heartwarming story celebrates the theme of friendship, an ever-present concept in Pixar animation, connecting guests with characters they’ve come to know and love. “Together Forever” comes to life through projections on iconic park locations: Sleeping Beauty Castle, the water screens of the Rivers of America, the façade of “it’s a small world” and the buildings of Main Street, U.S.A. (Joshua Sudock/Disneyland Resort)
What will I see?
The Legendary hopping Pixar Lamp and Ball from Pixar’s Luxo Jr. short, followed by Joy, Sadness and Bing Bong in Riley’s “Rocket” Wagon from Inside Out. Next up is the Up float’s lush jungle greenery means Carl, Russell, Dug, Kevin and her brood of baby birds have hit the parade route. Then Carl’s house along with the returning dazzling performers and popular Pixar stars including Monstropolis’ own baton-twirling Roz, drumming Sulley and wise-cracking Mike from Monsters, Inc.
The Incredibles are a sight to behold as Mrs. Incredible, Mr. Incredible, Violet and Frozone arrive on an impressive float that’s been overtaken by a towering replica of Syndrome’s Omnidroid. The dancers on spring-loaded stilts was simply amazing, I would fall flat on my face if I even attempted it.
Next up comes Crush his Finding Nemo friends—Marlin, Nemo, Dory, Squirt and baby turtles. A Bug’s Life appear right after that where Heimlich leads the way with Flik, Atta, Dot and Slim following on the longest float in the entire parade. Last but certainly not least is the Toy Story Gang including Woody, Buzz Lightyear, Jessie, Rex and acrobats that are mesmerizing to watch.
Just be on the look out for bubbles, water and lots of action because it truly is a magical experience! After the parade head over to Alien Pizza Planet for a slice of pizza, a salad, breadsticks or more. But I recommend the Cheeseburger Pizza because it was the best, check out their menu and more while you are planning your Pixar Fest visit.
Must Ride Rides
It’s A Small World After All should be experienced by each visitor no matter their age, it is a fun ride but beating Becky on the Buzz Lightyear Astro Blasters was the best. The Guardians of the Galaxy is one that everyone should ride at least once, and while it was fun, it isn’t a ride I would have to do again. While you are in Cars Land Mater’s Junkyard Jamboree and Luigi’s Rollickin’ Roadsters and don’t miss Radiator Springs Roadracers because whether you win or lose everyone with you will be all smiles and laughs at the end of the ride.
Together Forever A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular
The Together Forever A Pixar Nighttime Spectacular is 12 minutes of fabulous scenes, magical moments and of course Pixar Friends. It was truly a magical experience for all ages starting with the youngest to the oldest in the audience. There were lots of oohs, ahhhs and truly a magical experience that everyone will enjoy and remember for their lifetime and beyond.

About Incredibles 2
About Incredibles 2
In INCREDIBLES 2, Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is called on to lead a campaign to bring Supers back, while Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) navigates the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell), Dash (voice of Huck Milner) and baby Jack-Jack—whose super powers are about to be discovered. Their mission is derailed, however, when a new villain emerges with a brilliant and dangerous plot that threatens everything. But the Parrs don’t shy away from a challenge, especially with Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) by their side. That’s what makes this family so Incredible.

Everyone’s favorite family of superheroes is back in “Incredibles 2” – but this time Helen (voice of Holly Hunter) is in the spotlight, leaving Bob (voice of Craig T. Nelson) at home with Violet (voice of Sarah Vowell) and Dash (voice of Huck Milner) to navigate the day-to-day heroics of “normal” life. It’s a tough transition for everyone, made tougher by the fact that the family is still unaware of baby Jack-Jack’s emerging superpowers. When a new villain hatches a brilliant and dangerous plot, the family and Frozone (voice of Samuel L. Jackson) must find a way to work together again—which is easier said than done, even when they’re all Incredible.
Directed by Brad Bird (“Iron Giant,” “The Incredibles”) and produced by John Walker (“The Incredibles”) and Nicole Grindle (“Sanjay’s Super Team” short, “Toy Story 3” associate producer),
“Incredibles 2” busts into theaters on June 15, 2018.
